Over the course of 14 years, I physically manifested my daily reflections on and about my surroundings during a number of international trips by "sketching" in a series of books: adhering objects found on or near the site; using thread to "sew together" and reference formal shapes as well as architectural structures; and applying mixed-media photographic images through various techniques. The sketchbook pages evolved organically as I let chance, intuition and reflection help map the interconnected quality of the pieces.
