I’ve always been interested in chance and the found (moment, object, person). How random experiences click into place, form a narrative, reveal a truth. The silver gelatin artifacts being shown in this exhibition have come about because of an intersection. I chose, was the subject of or created them. Each time they are exhibited, a group of revolving collaborators as well as the physical limitations of the space redefine their relationship. What is revealed are the shadows of a language when the stuff called meaning has dropped away.

Video of Jo Yarrington in conversation with artists Cheryl Yun, Jim Felice, Chris Durante and Patricia Miranda on the piece.
